We were tasked with creating clear functional zoning of exterior spaces; For safety and ease of pedestrian movement, we proposed to separate the pedestrian and vehicular circulations. For safety and ease of circulation, we proposed to separate the landing dock and drive from the playing areas. To create a revival of the existing 1909 historical building; With an idea to bring some life to the historical building, we proposed to relocate the Administrative Offices and the Media‚ÄźCenter to the First Floor of the historical building. In order to reinforce the importance of education, the Media Center was re-located to the far northern portion of the First floor, which took advantage of the historic wood floors and bay windows that spoke to the quality and prominence that Ketcham desired to associate with their academic pursuit.
