Lance Bailey & Associates, Inc. provided full architectural services to the District of Columbia’s Office of Property Management’s (DCOPM) Office of the Aging for the design and construction of a Multi-Purpose Senior Wellness Center in Ward 1 of the City.

The new building is a three-story structure with a level below grade that will be used for storage. A green roof serves as a recreational walking and sitting space for the elderly. The interior has a number of spaces to accommodate elderly activity, such as an exercise room, a nutrition room where cooking demonstrations can take place, a multi-purpose room in which arts and crafts can be done, a large conference room, computer rooms, reading rooms, offices and various support spaces.
